Why is scary music scary? Well research says its based on the tones that are picked up on by our innate fight or flight ability, and when those tones are detected it causes fear and anxiety. I wanted actual scary music on my runs because I wanted to be full immersed into the idea that I was out in the world alone and I had something to be scared of so I spent a lot of time searching youtube and the internet when I finally stumbled across the motherload. It actually connects back to one of my favorite scary video games of all time. Without further delay - here is the link to the music that will get your heart and adrenaline pumping before your feet even get moving. Silent Hill Video Game OST’s. Listen to this with headphones in the room with the lights out and let your mind wander - you will work up a nice pre-sweat. Lol. Thanks :D - and fyi if the link below doesn’t work then Google search “silent hill ost” and it should be the first one that shows up on the list.

After making my Abel Township backpack, I was challenged to fit a number of supplies inside. Want to see how I did?

Hello guys. I know it’s been a while. I was afraid to post on this blog or get into the (rapidly growing) Zombies Run fandom becasue, while I love the game, I’m a bit behind.
Regardless, I have a few things in my ask box that I feel need posting. I’m going to focus for a while on getting the playlists out. If you have playlists you want to submit, go right ahead! That will be the current direction of the blog until further notice.
Thank you for everyone that followed! Thanks for making this app rock! You all rock! (Don’t stone me!)

I have an iPhone so I don’t know the answer to this. Does anyone else have a samsung galaxy that can help?
Greetings fellow runners. Thought I’d add to our growing list of running songs. I switch mine around every few weeks or so, and like to alternate between a steady pace and HIT training. Some of my favourites include:
- Youth without youth by Metric (great for a steady pace)
- Rabbit Heart, No light no light, What the water gave me, Drumming Song, and more from Florence and the machine (a lot of their music is great for HIT training, sprint during the chorus, jog or walk in the verses)
- Destroya, or Na Na Na by My Chemical Romance (encourages a ‘you can’t beat me down’ attitude)
- How to disappear completely by Radiohead (It’s just hauntingly beautiful, works you up if you’re on one of the emotional missions. Best for cooling down)
- In the house in a heartbeat by John Murphy (The theme from 28 days later. Not really zombs but freaks you out)
- Closer by Kings of Leon (steady pace and sprint to end)
- Sick Sick Sick by Queens of the Stone age (steady pace)
- Stay True by Thursday (long song at over 8 minutes, builds well, and the lyrics really push you to keep running)
- The Outsider, Pet, Judith and more from A Perfect Circle
- Prepared to do anything by David Arnold (It’s the Reichenbach fall music from Sherlock and I’m obsessed with it)
There’s others, like some Tool or more of Queens of the stone age, MCR, Thursday. Sometimes some Coldplay for cooling down or rest periods on long runs. I just look for music to encourage me to make it up to the top of that hill or outrun those zombies.
