The Runner’s Guide
This is in response to the question from themadmanandthebluebox about extra info regarding the game. There is an extra resource!! You can find it here http://blog.zombiesrungame.com/post/20589214163/announcing-the-runners-guide It is fantastic!!! It’s made by the creators of the game and contains lots of little pieces of back story and more info about the day to day life in Abel (which is honestly the thing that intrigues me most about the app!). It helped me get some good ideas for fic writing.
I thought I’d post it here too in case other people hadn’t heard of it. Hope this was what you were after!

I use an iPod touch (4th generation, I think?) to play. The zombie horde feature does seem to be working pretty consistently with the accelerometer as of the most recent update, but I would still suggest getting an iPhone if that’s an option—the exact measurement of distances alone is worth it. I haven’t tried Android yet, but I suspect it’ll be about the same as the iPhone.

Zombies, run! on a treadmill works decently enough. The same idea is still there, it's just a lot less... "real". While you're running around outside its a lot easier to imagine yourself running away from zombies! I also hear it's better to have an armband holding for your phone so it can track you better. It also tracks by steps rather than miles/km. :)
re: Android performance: it's been fine for me so far (on a Droid X)! Only glitch I've had is sometimes the native music app will start playing independent of the music/audio clips playing in ZR. But it's quickly fixed.
None of the buildings upgrade past level 4 currently. I’m assuming this’ll be increased in Season 2, else there’d be almost no point in gathering supplies after one or two supply missions.

To the anon, you would just have to keep GPS disabled, as well as the fact you can't really 'run from hordes' but you can pretend! Instead it turns into a timed system. So yes it works, it just requires more imagination.
Yes, I've hit that limit too. I'm guessing it just doesn't go higher than Level 4, at least in Season 1.
The supply missions are a mixture of Sam and other people in the community asking you to get things (Dr. Meyers sends you out for medical supplies, for example). They are also pretty long; most of my runs are for an hour and I've never come to the end of one, though they're designed so you can end them whenever you need to (when you press the end mission button it plays a clip to wrap things up).
After you've completed a mission, it'll automatically start "radio mode" where they'll talk in between your music. So just leave the the app running and it should automatically play.
Can you help me? It says I can't download zombie runs because I don't have the right ipod software. And i've uploaded everything that I could that could possibly wrong. Help mee please?

Make sure you device has iOS5. Zombies Run is currently only compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and 3rd & 4th generation iPod touches, I believe. If you have any other questions you should send them here. I’m sorry that’s all I can help with. :(
